{UAH} LUMUMBA AVENUE IN KAMPALA (Photo)

Both me and this road in the Ugandan capital were given this name (Lumumba) by the same leader. Field Marshal Idi Amin Dada made the meaningful gesture (and political point) at a time when Africa was struggling to remove colonialist parasiticism and exploitation from Africa's riches. The street was named in memory of a great African independence hero murdered by insatiable colonialism simply because he took a patriotic stand for his country, it's resources, and for the freedom, emancipation and self determination of the people of Africa.
