These are some of the pieces that Barigye dumps into the forums that you need to read past the headlines. Did Trump sign a bill to allow those with mental issues to own a gun? No he did not and reporting it as such is a lie we need to call out this morning. President Obama never signed a bill stopping those with mental issues owning a gun, the bill he signed was called the Social Security Gun Ban, which threatened Social Security recipients with forfeiture of their Second Amendment rights if they needed third party help with their finances. The president signed that repeal on Feb 28^th 2017.

However during the same time, Social Security Administration clarified that an investigation for mental health problem could be launched on a Social Security beneficiary if they lacked the ability to handle their own finances thus, Under our representative payee policy, unless direct payment is prohibited, we presume that an adult beneficiary is capable of managing or directing the management of benefits. However, if we have information that the beneficiary has a mental or physical impairment that prevents him or her from managing or directing the management of benefits, we will develop the issue of capability. If a beneficiary has a mental impairment, we will develop the capability issue if there is an indication that the beneficiary may lack the ability to reason properly, is disoriented, has seriously impaired judgment, or is unable to communicate with others.

Please tell me how that clarification becomes changed to Trump revoked an Obama-era gun checks for people with mental issues. CNN started to pull that lie yesterday morning and other out lets started to pump it out then Barigye as always picked up on it and Walla. It became news in UAH. By mid-day yesterday many out lets had started to drop it from their websites, you see when you claim that he banned it you need to post the executive order and the date he signed it. They simply could not find it.
