{UAH} UNAA Welcomes Mr. Patrick Ayota

 
11th Annual Uganda/North America Trade and Investments Forum

The Ugandan North American Association is pleased to welcome Mr. Patrick Ayota, the Deputy Managing Director of the Uganda National Social Security Fund (NSSF).

Mr. Ayota was born in the Tororo District of Eastern Uganda and attended local schools through high school. He subsequently moved to the United Stated States where he attended and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, and a Master's in Business Administration degree from the University of South Carolina. 
 
Mr. Ayota is a Certified Public Accountant in the USA and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accounts of Uganda.
 
Following his graduate studies, Mr. Ayota worked in the Atlanta offices of the Reznick Group (a large international accounting firm) before venturing out into private practice.  He returned to Uganda in 2007 and took up employment as the Head of Finance at Barclays Bank of Uganda
 
In 2010 Mr. Ayota left Barclays Bank and joined  by the National Social Security Fund of Uganda (NSSF Uganda) as its Chief Finance Officer. In 2017 Mr. Ayota was appointed its Deputy Managing Director.
 
The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) is a quasi-government agency responsible for the collection, safekeeping, responsible investment, and distribution of retirement funds from employees of the private sector in Uganda who are not covered by the Government Retirement Scheme.
 
Mr. Ayota is a long-time member of UNAA and served as its treasurer from 2001 to 2002 and Chairman of its Electoral Commission in 2005.
 
Mr. Ayota will be a featured speaker at the 11th Annual Trade and Investments Forum on Friday August 30th.  The forum will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
