{UAH} UNAA welcomes Shanana Africa to the 2019 Trade and Investments Forum in Chicago.

This is truly the year of the woman at UNAA.

We are extremely excited to highlight Shanana Africa Ltd., a Ugandan woman-owned company that we will be featured at the upcoming UNAA Trade and Investments Forum in Chicago next weekend.

Shanana Africa, Ltd, is on a mission to provide customers with 100% natural and organic products.  Shanana Africa was founded in 2019 in Uganda by partners Pamela Praise and Charlotte Twagira.  The two are shown below at the official opening of the company by Hon. Amelia Kyambadde (Pamela on the left and Charlotte on the right).

Pamela is also the founder of Zoe Foundation which is an NGO in Uganda that aims to impart technical skills and opportunities to disadvantaged women in Uganda through different activities including being out growers for most of Shanana's raw materials.

Charlotte is the owner of L'Auteur, an upscale restaurant in the upscale Kampala suburb of Bukoto and also a BUPA insurance agent in Kampala.

According to co-founder Charlotte Twagira, the name Shanana represents a woman who is well-groomed, well-grounded, dependable, organized and takes pride in her work.  The Shanana woman is bold, independent, inquisitive and the promoter of original ideas.  

Shanana Africa's mission is to both provide customers with all-natural organic products and help develop the natural organic cosmetics industry in Uganda.

Shanana Africa has partnerships with several other companies (Nkwanzi Scents, Kentaro Organics, The Shea House, House of Rhanika, Lengo Organics and Kweli Organics) which are all owned by young Ugandan woman who use local raw organic materials in their products.

Once fully established in Uganda, Shanana Africa intends to expand into other markets throughout East Africa and North America.  As such, Shanana Africa is actively seeking partners and distributors in the United States.
