{UAH} HOW OLD ARE YOUR PARENTS LET ALONE YOUR SELF?

Before we log off this morning, the Communication Group need to ask the above question, and if the answer is that you are in an advancing age, or you have parents of that age, this piece is exactly for you.

 

There is no technology that has done very well in Buganda as a pit latrine technology, you see unlike our friends in The North, we never shit on the jungle, we walk into a well-established pit latrine, and do our deposits in private. Every house I have seen in Buganda must have a pit latrine.

 

As our parents grow older and as we grow older, we have started to see that this technology becomes very cumbersome to the knees. As a man that lost my grandmother at age of about 120, the situation became very complicated when she passed age 95, her knees simply would not hold her long enough, to do her beeswax in the pit latrine.

 

As you are planning for your parents advanced age, as you a planning for your advanced age, it is very advisable to have that expectation included in your future plan. How will you plan to live after the knees give up supporting you? We have started to see many out there that do not plan for this problem, facing many surprises at that age, or when their parents reach that age.

 

Now if your parents or yourself grew up thumbing the shit on a jungle like a firkin Hyena, you will have no problem at age 90, but it becomes very complicated for a 90 year old, that has enjoyed the privacy of her pit latrine her entire life to use a jungle from age 90. Be very wise and include the shitting plan, after age 90 in your retirement plan.
