We start the campaign with a couple of interesting points. The Liberal MP Geng Tan of Don Valley allegedly dated an employee of his constituency office, got a child out of her, both of them have had a bad history with a girl complaining that he refused to pay child support, on and on the complaints have been happening. At this campaign he is standing against Dr. Xinglai Laura Huang, his wife in the same constituency.

We have a Montreal NDP Candidate that resigned yesterday, after being accused of domestic abuse against a former spouse on social media. Olivier Mathieu was the nominee for the LaSalle-Émard-Verdun riding in the southwest of Montreal. The constituency is now open for another nomination

We are ending with a very long record of standing for an election, in Brantford comes a man called John Turmel. John has already been recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the world's most prolific political candidate. He is standing in this election for the ridding of Brantford-Brant, this is going to be his 99th attempt at winning office over a 40-year period of electoral futility. He stood his first campaign in 1979 and since then, John has stood  in every campaign that comes close to him, from Municipal to provincial to Federal.

John Turmel’s best showing came in the fall of 1994, his 37th campaign, when he got 4,563 votes in a losing bid to become the chair of the Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton. His worst result came from a Feb. 2016 provincial by election in Whitby-Oshawa, his 88th effort. He received just 11 votes that time.
