As the night starts, we are getting reports from the Toronto Police that a female has died after an apparent machete attack in Scarborough. Earlier,  police tweeted that a man was seen running around with a machete in the Morrish and Ellesmere roads area. He reportedly struck someone several times and then fled in a silver car.

 

Police say a suspect is now in custody and no other suspects are being sought. We do not have the names let alone ages yet for this is just breaking as I post.

 

This might be the first machete attack in the city.
