Sally Francesca Mugabe, Born 6 June 1931, Takoradi, Ghana. First Lady of Zimbabwe 1987-1992 when she died aged 60. Popularly known as Amai (Mother of the Nation). A fierce pan-Africanist, Sally dedicated all her life to the struggle for Zimbabwean independence. She is believed to be the only real friend Robert Mugabe had in his long life. RIP.
