{UAH} Man beheaded in broad daylight in Kampala

Folks;

Stand with me in condemning the Daily Monitor for running his man's photo ID in the lead story about his macabre killing.

It serves no news purpose to display the victim's photo ID, unless the newspaper was asking for public help to identify him. But, even if that were the case, it would have been the family or the police that initiated the request to run the photo or personal details of the person.

Therefore, it boggles the mind as to why a newspaper of this repute would casually splash Fred Mugisha's personal details as part of the story about his beheading. His family likely, had not even been notified about his death.

This is not sensationalizing a story, it is irresponsible and callous manner of writing about a deeply emotional story, even though the story belongs to the wider crimes that are now rampant in Kampala.
