Opinion: President Trump Did Absolutely Nothing Wrong In Asking Ukraine To Investigate Joe Biden

This is not a scandal for President Trump. This is a scandal for Sloppy Joe Biden. In asking for the government of Ukraine to investigate Biden, President Trump did absolutely nothing wrong.

New reports from the fake news media suggest that President Trump may have asked the government of Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden’s corrupt dealings, and the progressive globalist resistance is crying ‘impeachment.’

Au contraire. American patriots everywhere should be thanking President Trump. It’s about damn time the deep state oligarchs face consequences for self-dealing and other nefarious activity.

President Trump in a July phone call repeatedly pressured the president of Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden ’s son, according to people familiar with the matter, urging Volodymyr Zelensky about eight times to work with Rudy Giuliani on a probe that could hamper Mr. Trump’s potential 2020 opponent.

“He told him that he should work with [Mr. Giuliani] on Biden, and that people in Washington wanted to know” if his lawyer’s assertions that Mr. Biden acted improperly as vice president were true, one of the people said. Mr. Giuliani has suggested Mr. Biden’s pressure on Ukraine to fight corruption had to do with an investigation of a gas company for which his son was a director. A Ukrainian official this year said he had no evidence of wrongdoing by Mr. Biden or his son Hunter Biden.

Mr. Trump in the call didn’t mention a provision of U.S. aid to Ukraine, said this person, who didn’t believe Mr. Trump offered the Ukrainian president any quid-pro-quo for his cooperation on any investigation. [Wall Street Journal]:

Why is the fake news media so quick to outrage over President Trump asking for a free and fair investigation of Sloppy Joe Biden’s Ukraine corruption?

The reporting indicates that Biden’s son Hunter may have cashed in on energy contracts while his father sat in the office of the vice presidency.

Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s second son, received millions of dollars from Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings while his father directed $1.8 billion in aid money to Ukraine as vice president during the Obama administration.

U.S. banking records show Hunter Biden’s American-based firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners LLC, received regular transfers into one of its accounts – usually more than $166,000 a month – from Burisma from spring 2014 through fall 2015, during a period when Vice President Biden was the main U.S. official dealing with Ukraine and its tense relations with Russia.”

The general prosecutor’s official file for the Burisma probe – shared with me by senior Ukrainian officials – shows prosecutors identified Hunter Biden, business partner Devon Archer and their firm, Rosemont Seneca, as potential recipients of money.

Shokin told me in written answers to questions that, before he was fired as general prosecutor, he had made “specific plans” for the investigation that “included interrogations and other crime-investigation procedures into all members of the executive board, including Hunter Biden.” [The Hill]

“The bottom line is Joe Biden was the Obama administration’s point-person on policy towards Ukraine,” noted Schweizer. “He steered $1.8 billion in aid to that government and while he was doing so, his son got a sweetheart deal with this energy company – that we’ve been able to trace over just a 14-month period – paid $3.1 million into an account where Hunter Biden was getting paid.” [Breitbart]

It gets even worse for Sloppy Joe Biden. Turns out he bragged about getting the Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating his son fired.

Former Vice President of the United States Joe Biden reportedly “bragged” about his role in the firing of a prosecutor who was, at the time, investigating his son’s company.

The prosecutor to be fired was Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin. The threat was issued to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. In March 2016, Biden told Poroshenko the Obama administration was prepared to rescind $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees unless Shokin was given the boot, according to an investigative column in The Hill. This is not a scandal for President Trump. This is a scandal for Sloppy Joe Biden. In asking for the government of Ukraine to investigate Biden, President Trump did absolutely nothing wrong.
