Several years ago, I shared with some of you what Uganda authorities who care  ought to do to improve UPE and USE outcomes based on what the three Nobel winners had suggested then. Interestingly their solution to remedial education was to hire ONLY female teachers to undertake remedial teaching.  

They have been recognized for caring about the poor in developing countries. Kremer won mostly for his work in rural Kenya. Banerjee and Duflo partly  for their work in India but also Kenya.
