{UAH} US Congressman pleads guilty to Insider Trading, resigns from Congress

And what exactly did you want him to do, remain and take the case to court to prove his innocence by torching his entire life savings, and all savings of his children? Do you actually know a single Republican that has walked that path who has a nickel on his name? You wanted a guilty plea now you have it. That should be enough for you than coming back and beleaguering him as well.
On all Republicans you attached through the Mueller hunt down, that were found innocent, did you process a refund for them or they are screwed as their children are screwed for life?
You personally spent two years in this very forum preaching for Mueller, what happened? Why are you no longer peddling the probe in UAH, now that you ended up the most protected member of UAH for you were anti Trump and pro Mueller? In that 2 years noise, did you create any victims in that probe? Any children that will miss school for ever for their savings accounts were blown up? Are you even intelligent enough to care?
Edward it is good, enjoy it for the time of Democrats becoming political victims has not arrived yet.
Washington is a very complicated town, for what goes around ends up coming around and ALWAYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Subject: {UAH} US Congressman pleads guilty to Insider Trading, resigns from Congress
Folks;
When this man was indicted, he and fellow Trumpards bellowed to all that he was a victim of a Liberal or Democratic witch hunt, and that he was being persecuted for being an early and outspoken supporter of President Trump's.
Now that stubborn facts have validated the charges, he's changed tune, and has even apologized to his voters. So, the witch hunt had caught a witch.

NEW YORK (AP) — Former Rep. Chris Collins pleaded guilty Tuesday in an insider trading case, a day after he resigned from Congress and set off a scramble to fill his seat in his Republican-leaning district.
Collins had initially denied charges he leaked confidential information about a pharmaceutical company and was set to go to trial next year in federal court in Manhattan on conspiracy, securities fraud and other charges. But on Monday, the court filed papers saying the Republican from western New York would be withdrawing his not guilty plea and he submitted a resignation letter to Congress.
After his plea, Collins expressed regret and said he had failed his constituents.
With Collin's departure, it will be up to Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo to set a special election to replace him. The governor said in radio interview Tuesday that the timing remains uncertain for an election that's expected to now draw even more candidates to an already crowded field.
"The question is, when can I do it?" Cuomo said. "But sooner rather than later is my inclination."
The case against the 69-year-old Collins stemmed from his business dealings with Innate Immunotherapeutics Ltd., a biotechnology company headquartered in Sydney, Australia. He was the company's largest shareholder and sat on its board.
According to the indictment, Collins was attending the Congressional Picnic at the White House in 2017 when he received an email from the company's chief executive saying that a drug developed to treat multiple sclerosis had proven to be a clinical failure.
The next morning, according to the indictment, Cameron Collins began selling his shares, unloading enough over a two-day period to avoid $570,900 in losses before a public announcement of the drug trial results. After the announcement, the company's stock price plunged 92%.
Cameron Collins is accused of passing along the information to his fiancée's father, so he could also dump his stock. The son is expected to plead guilty on Wednesday.
Before Collins' resignation, three Republicans had launched campaigns since the spring while others had said they were waiting to see whether Collins would seek another term. The declared Republicans are attorney and former judge Beth Parlato, state Sen. Christopher Jacobs, a former New York secretary of state and Erie County clerk, and state Sen. Robert Ortt, a veteran and former North Tonawanda mayor.
Meanwhile, an effort to recruit Medal of Honor recipient David Bellavia to run has been under way for months, led by Republican strategist Michael Caputo, who advised President Donald Trump's campaign. The Iraq war hero ran for Congress in 2012 and lost to Collins in the Republican primary. Bellavia has not said whether he will enter the race.
For the Democrats, Nate McMurray, whom Collins narrowly defeated in 2018, already had committed to a rematch.
