{UAH} What is the difference between Obama's debt and Trump's deficit?
Trump supporters will hate this answer, but (because?) it is the objective truth:
Obama started with 800,000 job losses a month, a crashing stock market, rising unemployment, and the worst recession in 80 years, with a deficit he inherited of 1.2 trillion.
Trump started with 7 years of steady growth in jobs and GDP, with an unemployment rate that Obama in his last 7 budgets had reduced from 10% to 4.5%, and deficits that were less than half of what Obama had inherited.
Trump has since doubled the deficits, despite campaigning on eliminating them with 5–6% growth. Growth is now at 2% a year, manufacturing is in a recession, and wages are stagnant despite promises made to justify huge tax breaks for the wealthy.
Obama cut the deficits by over 50% by the time he left office; Trump has doubled deficits in order to pay for tax cuts for the rich.
