Do you remember I have written here several times , arguing that on current performance, Abiy Ahmed is the best leader Africa has. I hope you can now drop all accusations of Islamophobia against me, because I have my eye on the ball and tell the truth. I have studied Abiy Ahmed very carefully and followed some of the major decisions he has taken to stabilise Ethiopia after decades of civil war. The biggest point Abiy Ahmed has scored is to totally seperate  Religion from politics, , and especially to put  Islam  into the back burner and  instead to concentrate on the real issues that matter to Ethiopia. Abiy knew religion could tear Ethiopia apart, especially radical Islam, and  has shut Islamists off from the political arena. Ethiopia still has many problems relating to how best it handles its ethnic divisios, especially with regard to the restive Ahmara ethnic group many of whom still feel excluded. But they are making great progress. and the only reason for this is Abiy Ahmed is a SOCIALIST. Uganda needs a leader like Abiy Ahmed, highly educated, urbane, articulate, well travelled and pro-peop[le.
