Does any ONE of you road runners have any propaganda song for your hero, the indomitable leopard Rubatasirwa, to rival this one sang by Franco for the late Mobutu Sese Seko when he was running for an election in which he was the only candidate? If you don't, please commission one for him, for his coronation in 2021 election marquee at which he will be a sole candidate but accompanied by Mr Bob Wine as his chambermaid. That would surely be befitting for a great occasion honouring a unique miracle.

'Candidat Na Biso Mobutu' (Our Candidate, Mobutu) is one of the longest propaganda songs ever composed by anyone.
It was composed by Franco Makiadi in 1984 for the Zairean Presidential elections.
President Joseph Desire Mobutu was the only candidate and the election election took the format of a 'yes' or 'no' vote for Mobutu's candidacy.
According to official results, 99% voted 'Yes' for Mobutu.
Though Mobutu was the only candidate, he aggressively campaigned all over the country taking his message to the furthest reaches of the country.
And this song was a key pillar of his propaganda machine.
Another notable aspect of this song is its extraordinary length. - a whooping nineteen minutes!
This is long even for Franco.
When the album was released, the song was repeated on both side A and Side B of the record.
It was to be distributed free of charge to Zaireans.
The initial album cover did not contain Franco's name but the song was credited to him.
