TRIUMPH OF COMPASSION OVER CRUELTY.

 

The UK High Court Has Over-turned Home Secretary Priti Patel's Ban On Isis Children Being Returned To The UK. In A Land Mark Case, The charity SAVE THE CHILDREN took the UK government to court to force it to facilitate the IMMEDIATE RETURN OF THE CHILDREN. About 60 children are said to be affected, and this ruling ensures that they have all been made WARDS OF COURT and must be returned to the jurisdiction of the High Court of England and Wales immediately. The High Court will determine their future care arrangements balancing the need for them to retain contact with their families as well as the imperative to allow them to live as normal a life as possible, free from negative radicalisation and extremist propaganda.

 

"Save The Children said the repatriation was a "triumph of compassion in the face of cruelty," and that it would allow the youngsters to live full, happy lives.

 

But Alison Griffin, head of humanitarian campaigns at the children's charity, said more work was needed.

 

She added: "There are still as many as 60 British children that remain stranded in appalling conditions and Syria's harsh winter will soon begin to bite.

 

"All are as innocent as those rescued today and our very real fear is that they won't all survive to see the spring.

 

"They must all be brought home before it is too late."
