Brian Moore's already-viral message to Johnson couldn't have been pithier – and when challenged, he underscored it

England rugby hero Brian Moore in his heyday

England rugby great and former World Player of the Year Brian Moore had a blunt message for Boris Johnson, after the electioneering Tory leader appeared wearing an England jersey in an attempt to exploit tomorrow's World Cup final for political gain.

An angry and famously straight-talking Moore 'politely' told Johnson:

But when challenged about his pithy tweet, he didn't take the slightest step backward. Instead he doubled down admirably:

In 2015, Boris Johnson infamously flattened a young Japanese child during a 'fun' rugby event. How satisfying that during the Japan Rugby World Cup, Johnson should learn what it's like to be steam-rollered by someone who played the game at the highest level.
