Nambooze has just given a press briefing in which she totally agrees with me that Rubatasirwa Kayibanda must be sent to the ICC at the earliest opportunity, and that we should demand a death penalty when he is convicted, given  his skull count and the gravity, barbarity and savage nature of the crimes he has committed in three or four sovereign countries.

Should President Museveni in his individual capacity be indicted by ICC to answer cases related to suppression, torture and extrajudicial killings?

On Friday last week, the Peoples Government delivered a press conferences where they revealed plans to petition the International Criminal Court ICC against President Yoweri Museveni for allegedly committing crimes against humanity.

Specifically, the Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago said that President Museveni in his individual capacity should be indicted by ICC to answer cases related to suppression, torture and extrajudicial killings. According to the Rome Statute, crimes against humanity include murder, extermination, enslavement, torture, enforced disappearance of persons and imprisonment among others.

The Lord Mayor Lukwago cited the cases of brutality against members of the opposition, the attack on Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere's palace in Kasese town which led to the death of more than 100 people, the invasion of the Parliament by the army during the age limit debate and the rampant kidnaps and murders in the country.

Lukwago added that they will seek signatures from at least two million Ugandans across the country starting Tuesday to support the petition.

In the show tonight, we endeavour to address on this same matter and also encourage fellow Ugandans to fullt support this noble causes that has been created by the peoples 'government as a mean in itself to end the dictatorship that we are faced with these days.
