Buganda Kingdom is developing world class Real Estates, with flats at
Kigo on the shores of lake Victoria.
The Chinese are building the flats on the Build – Own – Transfer basis
because they have the money!
Some experienced Uganda construction engineers in London are going
down with alcohol!
Why can't Uganda Diasporas engineers construct roads, design buildings
and cities?
The man who was mandated with designing Juba City was not an engineer
but supervised Africans who did the job! All payments were in dollars
including security, insurance, accommodation and lodging.
One time I met officers from Chinese company Huawei and Startimes. My
first question was to know how they fund their activities in countries
like Uganda.
They told me that in China they put in a proposal with business
entities and if a business management find it "good" they will get
funding to go and invest anywhere in the world.
The Chinese might be the biggest property investors in North America.
Americans too have also told me the same thing, though many of these
investors at the West Coast will as their first priority look at USA.
But they are learning very quickly investing in areas like: tourism,
fashion industry, medicine and education. They are already here in
Uganda.
Turning Uganda Diasporas into investors into their own country should
preoccupy us in the coming years since it is very possible. There are
hundreds of government infrastructure projects, Uganda Diasporas can
invest into and run on a commercial basis or jointly with Europeans,
Americans or Arabs.
World venture capitalists, private equity and impact investors are all
sourcing for good business investment.
Uganda Diasporas associations discover how these entities work and as
legally registered entities in your domicile countries find out which
entity you can work with. It is a 24/7 interaction and building a long
term relation you will largely benefit from.
Europe and North America are politically and financially are currently
insecure.
Largest investors in Uganda securities are Europeans and Americans small savers
