{UAH} Unregulated herbal medicine administration causing more harm, says Sec for Health Hoima.
The Hoima district secretary for health and education has challenged National Drug Authority to strengthen the monitoring and regulation of the activities for herbal practitioners.
Mrs Plan Benadette explains that the level of fake herbalists in the district are on rise.
She says the local gov't was mooting a plan to introduce an ordinance.
According to her some herbalists are claiming to be curing all kinds of diseases including HIV/AIDs which misleads the community.
NDA has met all herbalists from Bunyoro region at Kolping gardens.
Christopher Luzinda, the NDA manager Hoima branch said the meeting was aimed at strengthing the partnership for effective regulation of human and animal drugs.
