{UAH} Applications invited for international Masters in Nordic Urban Planning Studies
Dear all,
With apologies for cross-postings… Applications are invited for our
international and interdisciplinary joint Masters programme in Nordic
Urban Planning Studies, which launched earlier this year. Could you
please draw this to the attention of any potentially interested
students?
This is a unique opportunity to study for a two-year degree at the
universities of Roskilde (Denmark), Malmö (Sweden) and UiT The Arctic
University of Norway, starting from September 2020. Taught in English
by prominent researchers in the field, the programme addresses Nordic
urban planning and development in a global context, exploring
distinctive perspectives on urban sustainability, mobility,
liveability, welfare, citizen empowerment and more.
Core training across the three universities is combined with
opportunities to specialise at each. Emphasis is given to equipping
students to deal with real-life problems and challenges, including
through group and individual research projects. By moving between
three universities and countries, including through attending a field
course on Arctic cities based at Tromsø, participants will become
skilled at working collaboratively and imaginatively with diverse
communities, organisations, companies and municipalities.
Programme information is here:
www.ruc.dk/en/nups<http://www.ruc.dk/en/nups>. The application
deadline for EU/EEA and Swiss students, for whom tuition is free, is 1
March 2020. The deadline for non-EU/EEA students is 15 January, except
for those exempt from paying tuition fees for whom it is also 1 March
(for further information, see the link for admissions). Applications
open one month before the deadlines.
We also have one tuition fee waiver and scholarship available to
international (non-EU/EEA) applicants to this programme, which will
cover all tuition fees in addition to providing a scholarship of 7,800
Danish kr per month (designed to cover living expenses). Further
details are available via the link for programme admissions.
With best wishes,
David
