{UAH} Gen Muhoozi qualifies to be president under the article. 10(b) of current constitution

(1) A person is not qualified for election as President unless that
person is—

1.    a citizen of Uganda by birth;

2.    not less than thirty-five years and not more than seventy-five years of age; and

3.    a person qualified to be a member of Parliament.

 

2.    The commission shall require such evidence as it thinks necessary of the qualifications specified in subsection (1).

3.    For the purposes of subsection (1)(c), a person is qualified to be a member of Parliament if that person—

 

1.    is a citizen of Uganda;

2.    is a registered voter; and

3.    has completed a minimum formal education of Advanced Level standard or its equivalent.

 

 

 

10. Citizenship by birth.

The following persons shall be citizens of Uganda by birth­

(a)       every person born in Uganda one of whose parents or

grandparents is or was a member of any of the indigenous

Communities existing and residing within the borders of

Uganda as at the first day of February, 1926, and set out in the

Third Schedule to this Constitution; and

(b)       Every person born in or outside Uganda one of whose parents

or grandparents was at the time of birth of that person a citizen

of Uganda by birth.
