Jihadi Bride Shamima Begum Suffers A Set Back In Her Challenge To The Cancellation Of Her UK Citizenship. The High Court Has Ruled In A Different, But Similar Case To hers, That The UK Home Secretary Can Withdraw Citizenship From Two Muslim Terrorists Because They Are Entitled To Bangla Deshi Citizenship, Which Is The Country Of Origin Of Their Birth Parents. Bangla Desh Law Automatically Grants Citizenship To All Descendants Of Citizens. Shamima Begum Has Argued In Court That International Law Bans The Practice Of Making Any Person Stateless And That The Action Of The UK Home Secretary In Annulling Her UK Citizenship Was Illegal As It Made Her Stateless. This Judgement Now Makes It Clear That This Is Not The Case, As It is Open To Her To Apply For Bangla Deshi Citizenship, Which Is The Country Both Her Parents Were Born In And Hold Citizenship Of, And In Fact Where Her Own Father Is Now Living.
