 Mueller, Russia and Ukraine aren't separate; they are mutually reinforcing. Trump fired Comey and tried to stop Mueller to prevent Americans from finding out what Russia did. Having failed in that attempt, he tried to undermine what Mueller uncovered by blaming Ukraine 

Both have the same goal: Avoid having Russia take the blame for helping Trump. Ukraine is an extension of the obstruction, and Trump's attempt to divert blame from Russia proves beyond a doubt that he was acting with corrupt intent in the obstructive acts Mueller uncovered.

Obstruction is part of one scheme. Putin backed Trump because he'd lift sanctions. Trump failed, so Giulian together with Putin proxies figured out that rehabitating Russia at Ukraine's expense—might do the trick. They may peddle another peace plan for same goal. 

Blaming Ukraine for meddling in our elections brings Trump one step closer to completing the task Putin gave him in Helsinki, which is to lift the sanctions Obama imposed for Russia's "annexation" of Crimea.
