{UAH} One dead, 12 injured as South Sudan refugees clash with Ugandans

Frank Mujabi/ Tony Owana/ Annette/ Ikanos/  Ahmed katerregga,

See how Rubatasirwa's  greed and  insatiable appetite for wealth  is leading to a humanitarian crisis in Uganda? There are nearly one million South Sudanese refugees in Uganda, and most of them are now  trying to settle in Uganda permanently  and do not think of going back home.

There was no point allowing one million South Sudan refugees into Uganda. The UN and the neighbours should have worked out a settlement that allowed the people to remain and be protected in their own homes and country, even if this meant killing or removing Slava Kiir from power and forcing a new political dispensation.

Now these refugees are camped in Uganda, occupying huge chunks of land. They are supported financially by the UN and live a higher quality of life than the ordinary Ugandan from their monthly allowances, food rations and free education they get from the UN. The tensions that would arise between these refugees and the local people was entirely predictable- but Rubatasirwa Kaguta  used the plight of these refugees as a money making opportunity to swindle huge funds- running into millions of dollars-  from the UN and from western donors.

The clashes ensued after locals attempted to attack the refugees whom they accused of killing their colleague
