{UAH} SEASON'S GREETINGS TO ALL UAH FORUMISTS !

             II

I take this wonderful opportunity to wish Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to all forumists on our formidable UAH. Season's best to you all! And thank you all for the very excellent work you've done to let shine this great group worldwide as a credible authority on many things on Uganda, etc... Let's now welcome 2020 with all its implications of an election year for USA, an election that will not be missed by Ugandans given the impact the US has on our country and President Trump's effort to make USA  one of the global pioneers in heading efforts for weakening and eventually chasing away bad leadership in Africa and elsewhere ...
At the same time we see 2020 as a prelude to our long waited 2021, a year which will definitely marvel in posting political change in the country.
I hope you are having a good Xmas moment in your homes. In France, in spite of the three week-long transport strike people tried to give satisfaction to their Xmas programmes. The strike was of course giving a heavy bite somewhere and at the same time, especially in Paris, many Christians were feeling quite nostalgic for the place they used to enjoy Xmas services including the midnight Mass, thjat's the torched Notre-Dame Cathedral now closed for five years until complete repair works have been carried out! And it was the first time in 170 years that a midnight Xmas Mass service hasn't been celebrated there. So the nearly 7,000 faithful always attracted to this Mass had to migrate to other parishes... And this also affected those other thousands accustomed to attending anyone of the very many Xmas services at the Cathedral. And it's a big blow to tourists who could flock there in great numbers to enjoy the wonderful music provided by a great choral group accompanied by a rich melodious organ music.
I'm sure those of you in Uganda had perhaps a good time despite the itching financial conditions which don't enable life to be as enjoyable as anyone would have wanted.
G.H.K.
