{UAH} Abbey: More about Kangulumira pineapple farmers

Abbey:

Having ben thinking about Kangulumira pineapple farmers  Can you find out something.  How many farmers actively grow pineapples? Have the farmers organized themselves in some form of cooperative eg, Kangulumira Farmers/Tweggate/Twezimbe/Kamu Kamu. Pineapple cooperative etc..

How spread out are the farmers? In how many villages/sub counties etc. Why ? We need to know to help the farmers control the supply side to earn better prices. But some clarification: how long do pineapples take to mature? When are they normally  planted/ harvested etc.

For this argument suppose the planting seasons lasts a 3 months period. Can the farmers embrace a system where they role out the planting gradually?  For instance, if there are 30 farmers in a very village growing pineapples, during the first months, ten farmers in each village plant, the next month another 10 and in the last month the other ten.

That way pineapples mature at different times. As a result, farmers are able to control the supply side without suffering significant loses. The scrambled rolled out is also stabilizing economically since at least one third of farmers get to harvest during each circle.

Are farmers ready to organize themselves and scramble production over a long time to control support?  Help us with the information on total numbers of farmers.  What is the average acreage under pineapple cultivation etc.
