TEACHER KILLED, BODY BURNT AFTER PARENTS PROTEST OVER 'POOR' SCHOOL RESULTS.

A public primary school teacher in Mutitu, Kitui County, was on Tuesday killed and her body burnt to ashes under mysterious and shocking circumstances.
Daisy Mbathe Mbaluka of Ndooni Primary School was reportedly taking her children to school early in the morning when she was ambushed by unknown individuals.
The school headteacher, Dickson Muasya, has since recorded a statement with the police regarding the incident.
Ms. Mbaluka's murder has sparked heavy controversy in the area with sources telling
Citizen Digital that detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have since been deployed to probe the matter.
The killing, coincidentally, came a day after irate parents of Ndooni Primary School stormed the institution and reportedly attacked her as well as her colleagues demanding their transfer over what they termed as "bad results."
Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General Wilson Sossion, in a statement to newsrooms, castigated the parents, accusing them of being behind the incident.
"For unknown reasons, parents invaded the school, evicted the teacher, and later ambushed her while she was taking her children to school, killing her instantly, and setting her body aflame," said Sossion.
He also urged the Ministry of Education and the Interior Ministry to offer security to teachers and school property "before the situation runs out of control."
While calling on the police service to speed up their investigations and bring the perpetrators to book, the KNUT boss added that "let the Kitui incident serve as an example to the rest."
"Parents who killed Mbaluka should be investigated, arrested, charged and convicted according to the law of the land. No stone should be left unturned as we have witnessed such ugly incidences in North Eastern Region, North Rift, Western Region and South Nyanza," he stated.
