Three Missouri relatives are facing charges after police say a little girl gave birth in a bathtub inside their St. Charles home.
FOX 5 reports that Lesbia Cante is facing child endangerment charges, while a 17-year-old male is facing charges of incest, statutory rape and statutory sodomy. Another adult male, whose name has not been disclosed, is also facing child endangerment charges.
On February 11, the adult male brought a newborn baby to a hospital, claiming someone dropped the infant off at their front porch. The infant still had the placenta and umbilical cord attached. According to charging documents, the man admitted that the baby was a relative after investigators questioned him.
The man allegedly added that he had no idea that his 11-year-old family member had been sexually assaulted or that she was pregnant. Authorities later questioned a teen male living in the home, who admitted that he had sex with the little girl around 100 times. The teen claimed he didn't know she was pregnant, police said.
According to the St. Louis Dispatch, the teen was identified as Norvin L. Lopez-Cante and placed under arrest. Following his arrest, authorities arrested Lesbia Cante, who reportedly lived in the home and did nothing to help the little girl while she gave birth.
