{UAH} how can one determine which direction a house should face?

Houses should ideally face the direction that has the most beautiful view. This is usually the valley, for those plots on slopes. or a lake for lakeside plots. Location of access roads and plot shape and dimensions however may make this impossible.

Some people consider the directions in which the sun rises and sets (east and west) for orientation of their buildings. Rooms you want cool in the evening and night (bedrooms forexample) would generally face East or South-Eas and generally be on the Eastern side of the house which is cooler however then you then have a very warm and bright room in the mornings  

The house has to match with the movement of the sun. As in the sun has to pass over it side by side not front to back. Such that you can use the front and back patio without the interruption of the sunshine
