{UAH} most rentals I do not see any provision for a disabled person access

Most rentals I do not see any provision for a disabled person access. Sadly most public places in Uganda dont have provision for disabled people. U find them struggling on those stairs or waiting for someone to help them smh! its sad    disability is not monopolised. It happens at any time to anyone. Some forget that even in their old age when God saves them from this bad device they will need to access that house.  This problem is only too real and you can only know the extent if you either use a wheelchair or someone close to you is using one.    

It's not the president building our houses. We the people need to know what is right to do especially if it's something we are working on as individuals.   I'm confident that is always a prerequisite for any construction site or such a building. However, we shall all agree it is most times than now, over looked.   For any public building project to be 100%functional, must be accessible by PWDs.
Both movement and convenience. Or, it must be having pdws toilets and access. That is for physically handicapped. There those who can't speak or hear, u must provide enough lighting, and signs for directions,.
In case of the blinds, signs are written in braille, when they touch they get to know where they are.  

 accessibility is not only about lifts. Ramps, wide doors/corridors and accessible toilets have to be put into consideration. For those who use Sign language (Deaf), good lighting has to be considered.  

 Its very simple,its not hard, as long as we have it in our mind,we will always consider people with special needs whenever we are putting up structures. The reason why most us forgot is because we don't put ourselves in the position of PWD,s. Imagine you being stranded in town,need to get to the ATM for Cash,go to the machine and the level is too high,you can't access it,no one is around help.
