Ontario introducing new legislation for compensation during self-isolation

The Province of Ontario says it will be introducing new legislation for workers who are required to take unpaid leave during self-isolation or quarantine periods. The legislation will include directing employers to ensure protected leave and remove the necessity for sick notes prior to taking time off for self-isolation or quarantine.

Ontario Medical Association says all elective surgery to be put on hold

The Ontario Medical Association says all non-essential care and elective surgery will temporarily be put on hold as the province directs its efforts towards battling COVID-19.
