{UAH} BREAKING: First Ugandan Succumbs to Coronovirus abroad

LONDON – The Christian fraternity has expressed deep sorrow at the loss of Ugandan Pastor Charles Paddy Kayiwa who succumbed to the coronavirus – also known as COVID-19 while in London, United Kingdom.

Pastor Charles Paddy Kayiwa has become the first Ugandan national to succumb to coronavirus pandemic.

Pastor Peter Kasirivu the proprietor of Ggaba Community Church broke the news of Kayiwa's passing on in a staetemnt released on Sunday March 29^th 2020.

[Pastor Kayiwa] was a friend, a revivalist, fellow soldier in Kingdom," Pastor Kasirivu wrote.

Reports indicated that Pastor Kayiwa tested positive for coronavirus a few days ago and he has been receiving treatment.

In the UK there are more than 19,000 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and at least 1,228 people, who have tested positive for the virus, have died, as of 29 March 2020.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who has himself tested positive, earlier wrote to all UK households saying the crisis might 'get worse before it gets better.'
