Muhammad Nsereko's letter to President Museveni:

Mr President ,
As we appreciate your efforts to keep Ugandans safe, our advice has been clear and consistent.
Please consider the following economic concessions in order to avert both health and economic disasters.
1. Central bank should consider advising all commercial banks to freeze all interest payments for the next 3 months.
2. Suspend payment of rental income tax for landlords and in return ,have land lords suspend the payment of rent for 3 months.
3. 1.5 million people that have savings with NSSF must have access to at least 10 to 20 percent of their savings during these hard times.
4. Consider a temporary waiver of import duties on essential commodities like sugar, rice, wheat , maize floor, salt and pharmaceuticals for atleast 6 months so that many Ugandans can import them in bulk. Consequently this shall force the prices to go down in the market as eventually we shall have abundancy of food and essential commodities.
5. Provide for free utilities like water and electricity for at least 4 months.
6. Provide for an extra allowance for health workers who have put their lives on the line to save our lives.
7. Increase testing centers at regional level to avoid movement of victims for long distances.
8. Consider a countrywide distribution of food and essential commodities incase you consider a total lock down
