As I followed the closing arguments last week in the War Crimes case against LRA/Kony indicted War Criminal Dominic Ongwen , it dawned on me again that the International Criminal Court headquarters in Europe should just remain for trying Western/white war criminals like accused mass murderers Tony Blair and George Bush who remain free to travel around the world after killing millions of people based on lies of weapins of mass destruction. Then the ICC should open an Africa branch (here in Uganda for example). Because only then will Africans stop complaining about ICC racism. Meanwhile, what could also be worrying many Africans is that the court is treating the continents war criminals too well at The Hague...compared to the continued suffering of the poor LRA/Kony victims in Acholi for example. Just imagine the European snow, great Western cuisine meals with mayonnaise and potato rice sautë, flower vases at his window, iPad computer, and Holland dessert that the dangerous Ongwen could be enjoying. All provided for him free of charge by the international community. What were the empoverished Acholi's thinking as they watched the case from a specially organized broadcast in Gulu, Northern Uganda?

I estimate that 90% of Africans will never be in such luxury in their entire lives. Meanwhile those people in Acholi are barely finding what to eat for any day. No wonder another indicted war criminal Bosco "Terminator" Ntaganda handed himself immediately to the ICC. Probably after seeing how other war criminals like him are enjoying pedicure treatment with smiling white nurses checking their health and heartbeat every morning, plus endless YouTube/free internet and a 42 inch flat screen digital satellite TV everywhere one looks. Clearly LRA leader Joseph Kony is still unaware of such benefits. Otherwise he wouldn't remain digging cassava and greens, using a stinking pit latrine with only leaves as toilet paper,, and sleeping in a mosquito infested mud hut in the jungles of Central Africa while his lieutenant is glowing at The Hague.

But let me emphasize one important proposal again: We Africans (and our continental institutions) need to demand the opening of a branch of the ICC right here in Africa. If only to unite Africa in ensuring international justice on this continent.
