As many in fake media keep on screaming how the economy must never be opened, I have consistently stated that we should never have shut down the economy but we needed to bolt up the residences of senior citizens, just few days ago I complained about the caregivers that keep on walking in and walking out. Those scared the wits out of me, for you have no clue who walks in with what. We are losing senior citizens at a totally un acceptable number. This is criminal. We simply cannot live with 20 dead here 30 dead there, 15 dead starts to look low, there has to be a way to stop or deter it. We got the most venerable among our selves and we paid the least to caregivers that look after them, and in turn the caregivers get jobs in several homes and they walk from home to home.

 

When I went to bed last night, the Province of Ontario woke up at midnight, and instructed all caregivers in senior citizen residencies, to stop working in more than one home. That went in effect at midnight. You work in one home, you go home and come back to the same home.

 

It is not enough. We need to do way more, these people do not work in multiple homes for they love to do so, we need to raise their pay so that they do not have to multi task. If they work in venerable people, and we need them healthy we need to pay them right. Secondly, during the pandemic, we need to pull all of them from their homes, and place them into hotels so that we distance them from their homes. The province is under state of emergency, thus it can take over any hotel in the city it needs and house these caregivers. Test them in the morning, test them in the afternoon and test them at midnight. We can change this after we get a control on the virus, but for now, we need to take every step provincially possible to protect old people.

 

Instead of torching the entire economy we need to fight a war we can win, protect the oldies.
