{UAH} Burundi's First Lady airlifted to Kenya after testing positive for COVID-19
- Denise Nkurunzinza was flown to Kenya and admitted to The Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi for coronavirus treatment
- The first lady was flown in Africa Medical and Research Foundation plane in the company of flying doctors
- The plane took off from Bujumbura Airport when tarmac lights had been turned off as staff and security personnel were asked to clear before her arrival The outgoing Burundi First Lady Denise Nkurunzinza has been admitted to The Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi after contracting coronavirus. Denise was airlifted to Nairobi from Bujumbura on the night of Thursday, May 28, by a plane belonging to Africa Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF) flying doctors.
