{UAH} HAM'S MANSION TO BE DEMOLISHED BY KCCA

City tycoon Ham's luxurious mansion to be demolished by KCCA.

Young city tycoon and businessman man Ham recently released pictures of his new mansion at the lake shores of Lake Victoria. The house is estimated at around $5million. The luxurious mansion is set to be destroyed by KCCA on grounds of construction in a wrong area.

Among other structures to be demolished is pastor Kayanja's mansion and Dungu resort beach. Both these are located in Kawuku along the shores of lake Victoria.
The message was revealed by a KCCA  Environmental specialist known as Peter Ssetanda, who was carrying out an impact assessment of the floods that had destroyed property along the shores which was brought about by the  constantly rising water level in the lake. Ssetanda went ahead to let the owners know that they will not be compensated.

"During our tour, we have realized that many permanent structures were put up illegally. They didn't get permission from KCCA and they are the reason why Lake Victoria is retaliating. No permanent structures are allowed to be built within 200 metres near water bodies. So we are going to demolish them and we shall not compensate owners," noted Ssetenda.

The rising water levels destroyed ahost of property and last month, it was reported that frogs and snakes had become the residents of Ham's mansion. The waves swept these animals into the mansion.

The specialist informed us that the warnings had been passed to Ham over constructing that house during the process of him putting it up.

"We warned Ham when he was constructing that house that he was putting up illegally but he turned a deaf ear.He knows very well that his house is there illegally. We are going to get in touch with NEMA so that we demolish all the illegal structures near the lake," said Ssetenda.

There are so many structures that have been destroyed by  the flooding lake including tycoon Sudhir's hotel along the lake shores. Many other hotels and beaches have also been affected and the owners are now counting losses. Many resort property in Kenya has also been destroyed by these floods.

This comes at a point when the government of Uganda passed out a warning to natives of the country and neighbouring countries about the ever increasing water level and this news comes as a no shock to the nation.
