{UAH} Kansanga Building Collapses, 15 Still Trapped - Uganda Mirror

I have very little faith in these builders or so called civil engineers in Uganda. Coupled with corrupt govt officials , it's a two-for-one disaster. Does a bureau of standards or something akin to that exist that ensures building permits issued comply to the local standards and that safety as a priority  observed?

Do inspection teams even exist? Again that's asking too much from the ROBERY MOVUMENTA
