The COVID19 Task Force is fundraising Shs 170 Bn for the pandemic.
Uganda's problem isn't money primarily; it's governance (corruption/stealing) & wrong priorities.
Let Mr M7 return Shs 300Bn taken by State Hse recently as supplementary budget, supposedly for "Classified Expenditure", that is for matters that can't be revealed!
This is on top of Shs 800 billion allocated to Ministry of Defence as SUPPLEMENTARY Budget for "Classified Expenditure".
What's more important now than funding our healthcare, which urgently needs much, much more than Shs 170 Bn being fundraised; feeding large numbers of starving people; and supporting Ugandans and their businesses to get back onto their feet after the lockdown?
This is PUBLIC MONEY- OUR MONEY. Can we get the views of Ugandans on these critical matters of survival?
