{UAH} Open letter to all educated Ugandans

*Open letter to all educated Ugandans.*

Dear Ugandan, kindly receive my warm greetings. If you know that you are a fool, don't read this letter, if you are not, then read & share.

The other day, one of our own Arshburg Kato denounced People Power & the struggle for change. He follows the likes of Full Figure & other other bloggers. They also follow the likes of Hon Beti Kamya, Hon Kibanzanga, Hon Alex Onzima, Maj Rubaramira Ruranga, Hon Jackson Kafuzi, Hon Nakiwala Kiyinji, Hon Amongi Betty, Chris Obore, Andrew Mwenda & other former opposition leaders or sympathisers who are now dinning with Gen Museveni.

When i read on social media Ugandans condemning Kato Arshburg, i kept wondering what kind of citizens we have. Is there any more evidence that Ugandans are stupid  than accepting to be led by one man for 35 years? Would it even surprise us when he passes on power to his son Muhozi Kainerugaba?

Many of you are aware that our country has been messed up, how MPs have shared your money & how thieves have robbed us etc. I hope you all agree with me that corruption has reached its peak, that our country has been plundered left-right & centre, the laws have been abused, favouritism at its peak, tribalism & sectarianism at its worst, stinking poverty, a rotten social service sector, an incompetent less motivated public sector etc. The end result is your sisters ending as prostitutes on streets & others as slaves in the middle east. But are you bothered or concerned about this?

The question to you remains, what have you done to change the status quo? You are too selfish & lazy to act but you think some body else should fight for you. You only enjoy watching Dr Besigye & Bobi Wine being buttered on streets, you can't go in yourself. Some of you are even too lazy to read a long article like this one because you are occupied with watching uncut Kalakata, zungulu, comedy store & the premier league.

You know more of Peng Peng, trending movies etc than the national budget or issues in Parliament. Even when you talk of minding your business, you have no business to mind about. You have simply turned your head into a garbage pit where all useless information is dumped. Rema's wedding or MC Kats being HIV positive is big news to you than minimum wage discussion or NSSF issues! You are neither here nor there, your mind is taken by any slight event just like a balloon moving by wind.

You want to go in bars to drink all the night eating pork, pizza, chicken & chips & not bothered about the country affairs. You only wake up to curse MPs on social media when you hear they have increased their salaries & that's all you can do. A society gets the leader it deserves & a leader is a reflection or a mirror of his own society!

The 12 years i have spent in opposition, talking on radios, writing articles, managing opposition campaigns etc, the best i get from Ugandans is; Thank you, keep fighting for us. Others make it worse when they say," Keep fighting
for us,  we can't talk because we have jobs to protect & children to pay fees for" Imagine!

You foolish Ugandan, whom do you think should sacrifice his job so that you can protect yours? Who do you think should fore go school fees for his child for the sake of the struggle when yours are studying?

When Museveni went to the bush, your father & mother were busy protecting their jobs or perhaps producing you, 40 years later when they are enjoying the national cake you are lamenting. If i struggle for you & on your behalf, why shouldn't i enjoy the benefits of the struggle also on your behalf? The saying goes don't expect a cat to take care of the rat's young ones!

In their early & mid 20s, the likes of Gen Muntu, Hon Mushega, Dr Besigye, Gen Tumukunde, late Sam Njuba & others were fighting to restore order in their country. Today's 20 year old students at our universities are too lazy to even visit the library! At 30 you are looking for a job connection & at 40 you are discussing Brian White & Peng Peng while at 50 you are at a sports betting centre waiting for luck, what a doomed population!

How did the likes of Arshburg Kato, Full Figure, Butcherman end up more important than you? How do they become a face of the struggle when you are silent? How  does Full figure get a brand new car from the state when your district has no ambulance or when your salary can't be increased? I actually support the idea of chopping 10,000= on your salaries, you have slept a lot, maybe that can wake you up!

Its simple you chose to be gullible, selfish, careless, lazy, silent, a coward, etc on national issues & here we are, You laid your bed, sleep in it. Not all of you will go on frontline, but do something to boost the struggle. I have seen candidates who have good manifestos even in NRM, some with even a clean record but they lose elections because of lack of resources.

If you cant join demonstrations, contest for leadership, if you can't contest, support the candidates, atleast send them 10,000= (just 2 bottles of beer or one thigh of chicken). If you can't do that, support their children, if you can't do that gather intelligence information for them, atleast finance those in the struggle, do research for them etc..

Do what you can, from where you are and using what you have. If others have betrayed the struggle, go in yourself, if others have failed, try yourself, if others are slow, enter at a higher speed. If we all think about our children, who will think about Uganda? And if we leave Uganda to perish in hands of the wolves, scavangers & vultures, who will survive in it?

*But for a man to seat in your office & swing your testicles or a woman to swing your breasts & think that somebody other than you will liberate & transform your country is not only delusionary but also being foolish.*
