And one can argue that marriage fails for we as society have failed to develop with it. As civilization continues, we fight to leave it at the stone age standard where it was introduced. The Bible was written when man lives to 30 years maximum, many died at 25, these days people live to age 130, do you want to see that face every day of your life till 130? Well the Bible says till death does apart. There are things I never did when I was young, for example I slept like a baby, these days I snore, and I do not want to stop it for I actually enjoy it. Can you enjoy it? I do not expect you to do so. But if I dated you years back and you sleep with me these days you run out the bed, why would you like to tie yourself to me for life for the bible said so? I loved to cuddle, these days, please no I love sleeping alone and have been for a very long time and do not need to change it. I like my own bed room and own bed full stop.

 

Have you actually ever thought of a contractual marriage? You go into a lease of 3 months with a right to renew or not, third month you review your lease and renew if you both wish to. Expand it to six months if you need to. How many marriages are killed by a single sentence "Till death do apart"? For God's sake we even gave prizes for marrying when you are a virgin, Good lord who does that and what was the purpose of that? You tell me you are a virgin I throw you out my God damn house. By the way there is a thing out there called "Fuck buddies" You call and meet each other when needed, those friend ships actually last longer than many marriages I have seen so far.

 

Money complicates when both of you do not work but one, never marry a battery at home.

5 MARRIAGE KILLERS

1) SEX

Many marriages are full of strife and woes, while others have packed up because of issues that have to do with za oda room

Issues with

~Conflicting demands.
One person wants this or that, the other person thinks it's morally wrong or doesn't like it. E.g Oral Sex

~Conflicting appetites.
One Person having a high libido (wants sex everyday), and the other having a low libido (and is okay with sex once a month) has sent many marriages packing

~No Sex/no sexual Satisfaction.
.Due to a spouse with sexual problems, premature ejaculation, or a spouse who is always traveling/busy and never around leaving the other partner sexually frustrated.
This has led to many adultery cases.

2) MONEY

You may think you know people, even yourself, till money is introduced into the equation

Money issues in Marriage revolve around

~Stingy Spouses
~Spouses with borrowing/poor money management skills,
~Spouses with integrity issues, no transperancy, lack of trust, reckless spending,

Contrasting GIVING, SAVING and INVESTING attitude give rise to problems in marriage, some Couples have been known to even go as far as poisoning themselves because of Money.

3) IN-LAWS (and other third Parties)

There are good in-laws who will make you bless the day you married their relative.

And then there are the others...........

~Especially when a family never wanted their Son or Daughter to marry You

~Especially when the person you are getting married to is their bread winner, and they still rely heavily on him or her for "survival"

Maturity and Wisdom is needed to handle in laws, especially problematic ones.

Your Friends and your Family too can damage your Marriage.
Wrong friends and family members giving wrong counsels.

4) OVERFAMILIARITY.

This has led many a couple to start looking outside their marital space for excitement, leading to extra marital affairs and divorce.

Over Familiarity happens when you begin to get used to your spouse you no longer think, feel or act like they are special..

5) TRADITION/CULTURE

The traditional marriage system once worked (or so we thought), but definitely not anymore.

There is need for wisdom,

You must BALANCE your culture and traditional beliefs about Marriage with scripture.

ALLAH instituted MARRIAGE
MAN instituted TRADITION

Which should you allow to have the final say in your Marriage?
