{UAH} Another notable Ugandan in France passes on! R.I.P.
JOSEPHINE NGABIRE NDIAYE
The Ugandan community in France has once again gone into mourning following the death of
a very prominent fellow citizen, Ms Josephine Ngabire Ndiaye, who passed on at the end of last month ( May 2020 ) following a long illness that led to a lengthy hospitalization in Paris.
Josephine, who lives behind a son, was born in Kigezi region in 1948. Did all her studies in Uganda before she came for specialization in Europe. She was subsequently recruited at UNESCO-Paris where she worked for many years in important positions until her retirement a couple of years ago. She was very strongly appreciated by all personnel at UNESCO for her sisterly charm and accessibility whenever and wherever obligation called on her.
She was equally loved and sincerely appreciated within the Ugandan community which was almost her most cherished possession. She will indeed be missed by all Ugandans in France.
Efforts to fly her remains home for burial having failed to materialize, Josephine will have to be interned in a Paris cemetery this coming Thursday the 25 of June 2020.
May the Good Lord bless her soul in His heavenly glory. And may He also give strength and energy to the family as well as to the Ugandan community in France to bear with great courage this unexpected shock which now robs us of a very sensible and patriotic mind.
Rest in eternal peace, our very much beloved poor Josephine Ngabire Ndiaye! .
