Museveni's 'Scientists' are those who understand science as a study of living and nonliving things, not evidence-based reasoning and decision marking. Theirs is primary school science.
Look:
Why should Ugandans wait to drink at night when they have spent the whole day free? Justification on curfew doesn't add up at all.
What difference does it make to have four passengers in a five-seater vehicle? If there's any risk, what have you prevented against?
What science would discouraged innovation on bodabodas to improve service delivery? Unless if science is based on emotions these days. Innovation is a mother of science.
What science would allow repatriation of dead Ugandans instead of those alive crying to rejoin their families? It sounds like they want us dead rather than alive. What's the use of quarantine and our good record of no death of any Covid-patient if Ugandans cannot enjoy?
What science doesn't see that Ugandans trim and plait their hair even with closure of saloons? What's the essence of continuing to close them? SOPs would work.
What science would not see that border districts with no major entry points and many porous border points would not pose any threat to transnational covid transmission? Unless if their reasoning was stuck in some traffic jam when they were advising you, your Excellency.
What science convinces that where conventional education has failed, online learning and teaching will prevail? Really!!! Something is fundamentally wrong.
What science convinces that where Ugandans in Kampala and Wakiso districts only have failed to receive Covid-posho, beans and masks, all country households will receive a radio set? Whoever forwarded this advice should go for penance.
What science would suggest political consultative meetings a threat, and not queuing in voting? This challenges every form of logic.
What science would crowd people in Police cells but fear a handful to be in the vast places of worship?
Mr. Museveni, these fellas just want us to comment on their ill advice and they say we are against you. No. We are not. For now, In Christ Alone.
