{UAH} First Lady Janet Museveni COVID-19 Positive Update lands NBS TV In Hot-Soup – Management Speaks out

Next Media's efforts of regaining their credibility ever since their controversial All Blacks Matter movement have again been soiled after they reportedly tweeted that Uganda's First Janet Kataha Museveni had tested positive for the deadly COVID-19 which aroused tension. This comes at a time when neighbouring countries such as Burundi have already registered COVID-19 patients in their Presidential Homes. 

This shocking news did not however impress the Ministry of Health which had just declared all ministers COVID-19 negative after recent tests made on them. This forced the ministry's permanent secretary Dr. Diana Atwiine to come out and dispel the rumours and comforted the public and asked them to treat NBS's claims with contempt.

"Please disregard this fake news. Treat it with disdain it deserves…" wrote Atwiine as she captioned the screenshot of the news update.

Next media also swiftly upon getting wind of the tweet making rounds on social media, distanced themselves from the news as they branded it to be fake. 

"FightFakeNews: We are aware of a doctored screenshot making the rounds online of a purported tweet from us on the health of the first lady of Uganda, Janet Kataha Museveni. This was NOT shared on any of our platforms. Kindly treat it with the contempt it deserves." read NBS TV's disclaimer.

NBS TV's employees also condemned the false information, with Samson Kasumba pinning their enemies who  are unhappy with Next media's rapid growth..

"When you lead you get attacked from all sides. Ugandans, I can assure you we are equipped and resilient  enough to outlast these News attacks. Someone is deliberately against what we are building and that we are; a trusted source. They will lose and your station we shall win." snapped Samson.
