{UAH} Cabinet has approved the Electricity Amendment Bill 2020

Cabinet has approved the Electricity Amendment Bill 2020 that will empower the Minister in charge of Energy to prescribe the generation assets to the government in addition to providing the additional functions to the authority.
According to the State Minister for Information, Peter Ogwang, the bill will also provide for the deterrent penalties for the theft of Electricity and vandalism of electricity facilities once passed into law by Parliament.
