Madagascar Returns To Lockdown As Cases Sharply Rise Despite Claiming To Have Covid 19 Cure.

A couple of months a go, we informed you that The President of Madagascar H.E. Andrey Rajoelina launched a local remedy developed from an old chinese tree known as "atmesia" which he claimed to have cured two people and advised his people plus all Africans to use it in controlling Covid 19. Many countries in Africa imported this remedy including Tanzania, Equatorial Guinea etc. The World Health Organization (W.H.O) warned people against the use of Madagascar's remedies since they hadn't tested & endorsed it. This forced the President Rajoelina to quit the World Health Organization claiming they were discrimating it since it was African discovered.

However, Covid 19 cases in his country are just rising ie. On Saturday 04/07/20, the country confirmed 216 cases from 671 samples bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 2,1941 with over 32 deaths.

This forced the government to impose a strict lock down & curfew in the capital of Antananarivo where public transportation was suspended, only one person in a house to be allowed to move out for shopping or any other tasks and a strict curfew from 6 p.m. in the evening to 6am in the morning.
