She'll be back!

I'd missed Salaamu Musumba in Parliament. Along with Alice Alaso, Ms. Musumba had acquitted herself well in Parliament, often holding the Government side to account for all manner of its shenanigans. These ladies did not speak in Parliament for show; they made meaningful contributions that served the electorate well.

Speaker Kadaga,  despite her estimable experience, is a spent force. Her recent open fight with President Museveni, over how Coronavirus goodies were allotted, has placed her on Suspects Corner within the NRM tent.

She is better advised to retire after her current term runs out, rather face humiliation at the polls. Her deputy, Jacob Oulanyah L'Okori, will be the next speaker.
