Police update on the death of Makerere University 3rd year student, Emmanuel Tegu.

-He was a son to a police officer Sgt. Okwalinga

-He had Bipolar, a mental illness

-Preliminary findings indicate he informed his girlfriend that he was going to church.

- The victim was found half-naked in Makerere University by patrol teams

-Tegu became more aggressive as they (patrol teams) tried to pursue him and started pelting them with stones.

-CCTV footage shows him pelting officers with stones.
-He had no identity card on him.

-Police teams got a disturbance call from area councillors.

-Seven suspects are in custody in connection to the death of Emmanuel Tegu

-Tegu reached Centenary Bank MUK and tried to attack the guards there.

-One of the guards raised an alarm.

-Residents from Lumumba Hall descended on him.
-He had no identity card on him.

-Police teams got a disturbance call from area councillors.

-Seven suspects are in custody in connection to the death of Emmanuel Tegu
