What you are pointing out is the issue of biracial cultures, such offsprings have identity challenges. Take Obama and Kamala for instance, children of a black men and a white and Asian women respectively. 

They are considered black because of their sites. Same applies to most of us back home, children are known by their fathers' lineages. Suppose we both have beautiful sisters and I married your sister and you married my sister. My children with your sister will be Iteso while your children with my sister will be known as Japs, they might even look alike! 

Obama and Kamala are black, because of their lineages. One does not have to be too black/dark or to born of both black parents to qualify to be black.
